Cozyla Album's Installation Tutorial Video
Cozyla Album's Installation Tutorial (Text Version)
1. Take the power cord into the rubber hole of the stand.
2. Ensure the power cord goes through from the tail to the head of the stand.
3. Plug the power cord into the power port on the back of the Cozyla Album.
4. Plug the adapter into an outlet.
NOTE: Yes, we doing this cable management to keep your home looks clean
For the next setup, please go to How to active my Cozyla Album section.
NOTE: Before you connect the Cozyla Album to your network, make sure you download the 'My Cozyla' app from Google Play or the Apple App Store on your mobile device.
1. Sign up for Cozyla
or sign in via Apple ID, Facebook, Google Account, or Amazon Account for the initial setup.

2. After you sign in, press the 'Add new device' button to pair your smart device with the Cozyla Album.


3. Make sure the digit code on the app match with the code on Cozyla Album.
4. Setup your Wifi to connect with Cozyla Album.

5. During the initial setup, you can customize a unique email address for the Cozyla Album. You can share this email with others so they can send photos directly to this frame.
NOTE: You are not able to change it later. Please only share this email address with someone who is trusted.

- You are able to customize the name of your Cozyla Album and assign it to any location for easier management.
7.App paired with device successfully.
8.Coyzla will only collect device logs that help us optimize our products. None of your personal data will be accessed by anyone. (Assured Privacy)
NOTE: If you don't want any of the device logs being collected, you can reject it by tapping the top right 'reject' text.

- In this step, the Cozyla Album will start to update to the latest version. Please give it some time until the device is rebooted.
10.For now, you can choose between 'It's for me' or 'Someone else'. We will explain 'Someone else' in this step. You can skip to step 12 if you don't need this yet (You can do this later)
You are able to type a gift message and upload a photo in gift mode. The greetings and photo will show up on the screen after booting up.


11. During the gift mode, you can preset the Wifi info into Cozyla Album which will automatically search and connect to any available network. (You can do this later)

12. Follow the on-screen instruction to link Cozyla Album with your Amazon account in order to use Alexa Voice Services.
Yes, we use Alexa to give you a better experience with our Cozyla Album.
NOTE: You can skip this function by tapping the top-right 'skip' text. (You can do it later)
3. Finish the activation of the Cozyla Album.

You have completed the activation. Please go to the other support section if you need any help!
1、During the process of configuring the device, enter the selection method page, select Someone else, and enter the gift mode,You are able to type a gift message and upload a photo in gift mode. The greetings and photo will show up on the screen after booting up.
2、Access the preset Wi-Fi page where you can save three commonly used Wi-Fi networks. Once the device is in the designated place, it will automatically connect to the Wi-Fi network.
3、If the previously saved Wi-Fi network is incorrect or not available, you can connect to another available network by touching the device screen, selecting "Settings," choosing "Wi-Fi," and selecting a new network.
1. Click ''Add photos/album' to create a new Talking Photo album by selecting "Create your Talking Photo", or create a new Talking Photo from existed Talking Photo album.
2. Select photos from the system photo gallery(Maximum of 9 photos)
3. You can edit the address, add a note, and select an opening and ending theme and background music.
4. Click "Start recording"
5. Record your introduction to the selected photo.
Note: The rotation time of the photo depends on how long you stay in the current photo.
6. Finish recording, you can preview or upload directly.
7. Click "Submit" to generate the talking photo and upload to the device.
Sending photos/videos as a Main-Account
1. Click ''Add photos/album' to create an album.
If you want to add photos to an existing album, please go to the last step (Step 6) in this guide.
2. Press 'Upload from Local Photos' to pop up your smart device's photos.
NOTE: You can upload up to 30 photos at a time.
3. After adding the photos, you can name your album for easier management and make a description for every photo.
4. You can give the names of your albums and upload photos to different albums for easier management. If you have multiple devices, you can select several of them to upload photos to shared album on other devices.
5. Your photos might take a few minutes to upload depending on the total sizes.
6. You have created an album and added photos to it.
For future uploads, you can simply tap the created channel and add new photos!

NOTE: The channel's control between Main-account and Sub-account is different. If a Sub-account created a channel then only this sub-account is able to add/remove photos in that channel. We want to make sure every account can only manage its own created album for an easier distinction between several accounts.
Sub-Account add photos is nearly the same as Main-Account. You can go to "Sending photos/videos as a Main-Account" section for a details guide.
Main-Account and Sub-Account User Interface Explanation
Sub-account can only control the self-owned channels and Shared album.
Main-Account can manage all channels besides other's owned albums.
1. Click on " Invite "

3. Input the user's email that is registered in Cozyla.
NOTE: Sub-Account users need to download the My Cozyla app and sign in to receive the invitation from their My Cozyla app.
4. Invited users will see a new notification on their My Cozyla app for them to confirm the invitation.

If you want to add videos to an existing album, please go to the last step (Step 6) in this guide.
2. Press 'Upload from Local Videos' to pop up your smart device's photos.
NOTE: You can upload up to 10 photos at a time.
3. After adding the videos, you can name your album for easier management and make a description for every video.
4. You can give the names of your albums and upload videos to different albums for easier management. If you have multiple devices, you can select several of them to upload videos to shared album on other devices.
5. Your videos might take a few minutes to upload depending on the total sizes.
6. You have created an album and added videos to it.
For future uploads, you can simply tap the created channel and add new videos!
1. Anyone can send photos to this email address which will place those photos in 'Shared album'.


Sync photos from Google Photos
NOTE: Only Main-Account has permission to connect the Cozyla Album with Google Photos.
1. Click "Settings" .
2. On the device settings page, click on the "Account" tab, then press "Connect to Google Photos".
3. Press 'Sign in with Google' to allow your Cozyla Album to access Google Photos.
Cozyla will not collect any personal sensitive data from you. (Assured Privacy)
4. Go back to the home page and click on "Add Photos/Album".
5. Press 'Connect to Google Photos'.
6. Choose which albums you want to connect with Cozyla Album.
7. Your photos will auto-sync from Google Photos Album without manual upload.
Sync photos from Instagram
NOTE: Only Main-Account has permission to connect the Cozyla Album with Instagram.
1. Click "Settings"
2. On the device settings page, click on the "Account" tab,Press 'Connect to Instagram'.
3. You can choose any photos you have posted on Instagram now.
For now, the Cozyla frame relies on mobile phone apps to upload most of customer’s photos and videos that are generated and stored on mobile phones. we also offer a simple solution for customer uploading from their PC. Please follow the next 3 sections and you can easily upload photos and videos from your PC to Cozyla frame through Google Photos.

Step 1: Click the left bar “Albums” and then click “Create Album” in the top right corner
Step 2: Input the Album name and select photos from your PC to upload
Step 3: (optional) For further load photos & videos to a created or existing album.

Section 3: Create a Slideshow channel in Cozyla app by connect to Google Photos Album
Step 1: Open my Cozyla app, choose and press the frame you want to setup the slideshow
Step 2: Press "Edit channels"

Step 4: Choose “Connect to Google Photos”. if you already sign in Google photo account then you can skip 5 & 6
Step 5: Sign in with a Google account for Cozyla frame to access the Google photos

Step 6: The user might need to sign in twice with the same google account in the Cozyla app to access Google photos (iPhone app no need this 2nd sign in)

Step 7: Choose all the albums you want to in the slideshows on the Cozyla frame and press "Create"
Step 8: Input your caption for each slideshow (optional) and "Submit".

Step 9: Now you can see all Google Photos albums on your Cozyla Album!
Swipe up the touchscreen to see your photos!
1. Tap the album where you want to delete the photos.
2. Tap the top right 'Select'.
3. Select any photos you want to delete and Press the bottom delete button.
4. Confirm the deletion.
For users who decide to remove an entire album, the steps are nearly the same as deleting a photo.
1. Tap the album where you want to delete it.

1. Press 'Slideshow intervals',you can set the interval for photos to be played on the device.
1. Press 'Sleep mode',you can set the sleep period for the device, or enable the device to sleep automatically.

1. On the Background Effect page, you can set the background to be a Gaussian blur, white, black, or an Ins-style background.

1. Press 'Gifting message', you can add or edit gift content and photos, which will be shown during the boot-up. It will be skipped in 15s automatically.


1. Press 'Gifting WiFi Preset',enter the WiFi name and password of recipient's place. It will automatically connect to the network after it is powered on next time.


1. Press 'Invite',invite a sub-account to upload the photos to the device.
2. After successfully inviting a sub-account, it will be displayed here. Click on the button at the bottom to invite a sub-account.
3. Enter the email information of the invitee, click on "Submit", and the invitation will be sent. Wait for the invitee to accept the invitation.
Note: If the invitee has not registered for the My Coyzla app, an invitation email will be sent to the invitee's email address. They can accept the invitation from the email.
1. Click on the "Account" tab, then click on "Connect to Amazon" to enter the authorization page.
2. After the authorization is complete, you can wake up Alexa on the device.

Why is there a red indicator shown on the screen panel?
It means the mute button is pressed and the microphone is physically muted. You can turn it off to unmute by pressing the mute button again.Add Articl
It means the Alexa service is not available.
If there is also a red dot indicator light shown on the panel, it means you disabled the microphone. To enable it, you can press the mute button again.
If there is not a red dot indicator light, it means the microphone is on but Alexa service is not available, which will need Amazon to fix it. It is appreciate if you also submit the problem via My Cozyla App -> "User Center" at the bottom right ->Contact us.
How to display photos on the device?
You can download the My Cozyla App to select the photo sources supported. The device supports Google Photos, Instagram, and local photos.
How can I manage the photos showing on the device?
There are several different ways to manage photos. It depends on which photo sources you are using:
1. You can synchronize and manage photos to the dedicated album from Google Photos,
2. You can also upload and manage photos from your Instagram account,
3. Directly upload and manage local photos to the device through the My Cozyla app.
Are the apps required for viewing my photos? Google Photos? External USB? Any other online gallery apps?
To set up the device, you need to use the My Cozyla app. You can download it from Apple App Store or Google Play Store. A QR code quick link can be found here: https://www.cozyla.com/pages/support
Other applications, like Google Photos, Alexa, and Instagram, are not mandatorily needed. But if they are used already, it will help you to log in with fewer steps.
We didn't support external USB storage as a cloud photo frame.
What are the sizes of pictures to the best-fit device in portrait and landscape modes?
Images with Full HD (1920x1200) or above & Videos with HD or above resolution are suggested. Videos length is suggested to be less than 1 minute (It will be cropped if it is longer than 1 minute)
Does the device have internal memory to store pictures?
Yes. As a cloud photo frame, the device mainly offers cloud storage and services. The internal memory is still reserved for temporary local storage to ensure usage during network breakdown. But it will not store all photos and will be cleaned after you removed the device from your account.
Can I connect to an external USB device to view my pictures on the device?
No. It is not supported.
Why is the device not displaying all my photos from my album?
There is one case in the device that cannot display all your photos: If there is a network problem, the device will only be able to show the cached photos. Please check your network can connect to the cloud photo service correctly. You can also report the issues through the My Cozyla app's "Contact us" function.
Can I edit a photo already on the device?
No. You need to use 3rd party photo editor application to edit the photo.
How can I upload photos to the device?
There are several ways to upload photos:
1. For Google Photos / Instagram, you can upload to the selected album or account. It will automatically update your device.
2. For Local Photos / Shared Album, you can upload photos via My Cozyla App. You can upload 30 photos / 10 videos each time.
3. For Email upload, you can send an email with less than 40MB of photos in the attachment.
Why can't I see all photos/videos of my phone when I upload local photos/videos?
Please check if you grant access to visit all photos to the My Cozyla app. For more help with your phone, please send your questions (a screenshot or a short video will be helpful) and also the model of your phone to help@cozyla.com.
Can I send the photo to several Cozyla Albums via Email?
We currently cannot support multi-device addresses in a single email or CC & BCC. Please send directly to 1 device email with the photos you want to share.
Synchronization issues between Google Photos & Cozyla Album
A. Auto-synchronizing without manual action
It will take a while to auto-synchronize the Google photo album to the Cozyla frame depending on the size of the album. The estimated auto update lead time is equal to Google photo cloud refresh lead time + Album whole slideshow lead time.
- Google photo cloud refresh lead time is around 1 hour
- Album whole slide show lead time = photo numbers X slide show intervals
For example, if a Google photo album has 360 photos and the slideshow speed is 10 seconds (Cozyla's default setting is 30 seconds), then that slideshow lead time is 360x10s =3600s = 60mins = 1 hour. In this case, If you add or delete photos, it will take 2 hours to reflect in the Cozyla frame. But goodness is nothing you need to do.
B. Quick manual synchronization without waiting for the album to Auto-update
In section B, you will learn how to get the Google Photos latest update.
Connect to Google Photos
Step 1: Select the picture frame to update

Step 4: Select "Sign in with Google"
Create an album
Step 1: Select any album you want to appear in Cozyla Album and press "Create"
Step 2: "Submit" to create a Google Photos channel (the album title is optional)
Edit Album
Hide/display: Press the three-dot icon to bring up the settings and select "Hide" to deactivate the album.
Rename: Press the three-dot icon to bring up the settings and select "Rename" to change the album name.
Delete: Press the three-dot icon to bring up the settings and select "Delete" to delete the album.
(NOTE: Your Google Photos album has now been completely removed from Cozyla Album, please rest assured that nothing will change to your existing Google Photos.)
1. After users upload new photos through the Cozyla app, they can view them on the device.
2. A bell icon will be displayed in the upper right corner of the device, indicating the number of uploaded photos. After clicking the bell, a virtual "New Album" will be generated to view the latest uploaded photos.
3. If you click other operations to interrupt the viewing, the bell will still be displayed in the upper right corner, and the number of remaining photos that have not been viewed will be displayed at the same time. The bell will only go away when you click the bell again and view all photos.
It is because you have turned on the filter setting, that is, "Filter by orientation",
If the photos you upload are portrait pictures, these photos will not be displayed on the device when the device is in landscape mode. The same is true for uploading landscape pictures. Turn off this setting to display the pictures normally;
Open the homepage of My Cozyla app --> switch devices --> click "settings" --> select 'Slideshow' --> Filter by orientation; turn it on or off.
There are several ways you can set up the device:
1. Swipe the screen down from the top. Choose "Turn off the screen"
2. Turn off the device via the My Cozyla App -> Device List page. -> Device Turn on/off button“ ”
on the device card.
3. Setup the sleep mode time via My Cozyla App -> Select the Device -> Channels page -> Device Setting at top right -> Slideshow -> Sleep Mode
The device will automatically exit the sleep mode if there is an Alexa command or Memo reminders triggered.
The device has an automatic screen-off function. If it does not meet the user's needs, you can adjust the sensitivity in the Cozyla App and Cozyla Device respectively. The automatic screen-off has three sensitivities: high, normal, and low, which can be adjusted according to the actual scene.
How to enable Bluetooth function?
Normally, you can swipe down from the top of your phone screen and Turn on the Bluetooth. Different phones might be different. We suggest you can contact your phone service to get detailed steps. We would also be glad to help if you send an email to "help@cozyla.com".
What is the Bluetooth function used for? Transfer photo? Connect to a tablet as a second monitor?
Bluetooth is only used to quickly pair the device with your phone during the setup process. It will not be used to transfer photos or other data. You can turn it off if you finish the setup process
Does the device work with Google Assistant? Can I give voice commands to the device through Google Assistant?
No. This device currently only supports Amazon Alexa.

Why there is a yellow or red line at the bottom of the screen?
The bottom light on the screen indicates the status of the Alexa. Red means Alexa is not available now. It might be because of an Alexa server problem, the Mic is muted, or your local network problem. Yellow indicates there are messages or notifications in your Alexa inbox. You can use the Alexa app to read them. And then the yellow indicator will disappear.
Can Alexa on Cozyla Album support all Alexa commands and skills?
With Alexa Built-in certification, Cozyla Album can support most Alexa voice services including Smart Home Control, Music (including Amazon Music, iHeartRadio, TuneIn, Deezer, Pandora, Audible, Kindle Books, iHeartRadio), Alexa Productivity (Calendar, Alarms, Lists, Do Not Disturb, Flash Briefing, Reminders, Timers, News), Routine and translation. You can also enable new skills in the Alexa app. Calling and Messaging of Alexa are not supported.
How to change the time zone when I asked Alexa about the time it says time in UTC format.
1. visit alexa.amazon.com and log in with your account.
2. Click "Settings" on the left list.
3. Choose your device with the name defined like "XXX's [1st/2nd..] Cozyla Album/Smart Frame"
4. Change "Device Timezone" to need.
Tips:
1. You can customize your device name, enable Device location, and set Measurement Units under the same settings panel.
2. Please don't Click "deregister" unless you want to reset the device. It will remove the Alexa support on the device and you will have to reset the Cozyla Album to set it again.
How to disable/enable Alexa on Cozyla Album?
There are several ways to disable/enable Alexa based on your preference:
1. During the setup process: Alexa can be skipped during the setup. You can find a "Skip" button in the top right corner.
2. You can enable/disable it at any time in the "Device settings".
3. Meanwhile, you can simply disable Mic with the Mute button on the frame of the device. It can also disable the Alexa from Hardware layer.
Authorize the Amazon account in the app settings:
Note: If you have already connected your Amazon account but need to disconnect, click: “Connect to Amazon” to access the authorization page again, and then click “Disconnect from Amazon account'” to sever the connection.
How to enable "Cozy Chat", Cozyla's ChatGPT-powered voice bot?
You can directly say "Open Cozy Chat" to your Cozyla Album. And Alexa will ask you which is the correct one (There should be only one Cozy Chat skill if it is recognized correctly).
You can also follow the steps below to enable the skill manually in the Alexa app.

What can we do with the Cozy Chat skill?
Dialog generation:
For example,
1. Serve as the interviewer, asking questions and providing feedback and suggestions on the answers. Generate mock interview dialogues by entering questions and scenarios, assessing the quality of responses, and providing feedback and suggestions.
2. Health consultants give guidance, answer health-related inquiries, and provide targeted suggestions and guidance.
3. Article generation:
Enter related topics or keywords to generate related articles. Different styles and tones can be generated depending on the input.
4. User Help:
- Provide guidance on how users should seek help;
- Provide advice and guidance based on users' questions or needs, including advice on finding appropriate resources and seeking professional help.
Note: Considering it is an AI chat bot, the generated response based on AI engine cannot be garanteed to be 100% perfect. Please contact "help@cozyla.com" if you need engineer support directly.
Image modification:
1. Image to Text:
- Extract text from images and convert it to text.
2. Generate a new photo according to the text description:
- Generates a photo that fits the description given the input. Different photos can be generated based on different inputs.
To start a Cozy Chat conversion (multi-round), please say "Alexa, Open Cozy Chat" and then ask your questions or say "paint xxxxxxx" with the prompt content you need. For a simple command, you can also say "Alexa, ask Cozy Chat to do sth/ to paint sth) directly.
There are several ways you can update the device:
1. Swipe down from the top of the device screen -> Choose "Settings" -> About Device -> Software update
2. Open the "My Cozyla" app on the phone/tablet -> Choose the device from "Device List" page -> Choose "Device Settings " on the top right -> More ->"About Device" -> Firmware Update

There are several ways to link your Amazon Alexa to My Cozyla App and Cozyla Album device:
1. During the setup of a device, you will be prompted to enter your Amazon account to enable the Alexa. The process will link Amazon Alexa to Cozyla Album.
2. You can go to "My Cozyla" app -> Select a device -> Device Settings at top right -> Account -> "Connect to Amazon" -> Setup your account.
"Coz-Memo" is a virtual sticker function that can be used to set up reminders for the family. You can write a memo and set up a reminder time. It can be added or managed in the "My Cozyla" app -> select a device -> Cozyla Message -> Add Cozyla Message.
There are 2 reasons which might cause the problem:
1. My Cozyla album is not authorized correctly with the rights to read your album: You can go to the phone's settings and grant access again. (It varies on different phone models. Feel free to contact us or phone the supplier to get support in details)
2. The format of the file cannot be supported: It normally happens when you are looking for specific files which are modified. And it depends on your local phone's capability. My Cozyla app will only be able to show the format supported by your local phone's default OS. Normally, it covers all mainstream formats. If there is some modified videos or photos with incompatible format, there might be a problem to showing them in the list. There are 2 ways to add notes from the phone/tablet:
1. After the photo/channel is created, you will be prompted to enter a message to the photos (Google Photos can only add notes on Album)
2. Click the channel in the channel list. Choose the photo you want to add a note. Enter the caption as the note of the photo.
The Sleep Mode can be turned off or set here:
"My Cozyla app" -> Click the device button -> Click the "Device settings" icon on the top right corner -> Choose "Sleep Mode"
The routine setting defines the routine time of turning on/off the sleep mode.
Auto Sleep mode will turn on/off sleep mode based on the light in the room.
If you want to completely turn off the sleep mode function. these 2 settings should be turned off both.
Step 1: Open the "My Cozyla APP" and click the "triangle" to switch the device you want to set, click "Settings"

Step 2: After selecting "Frame", select "Sleep Mode".

Step 3: Set sleep mode Tip: Auto sleep mode is based on environment brightness detection.

Step 1: Open the "My Cozyla APP" and click the "triangle" to switch the device you want to set, and click "Settings".

Step 2: After selecting "Frame", select "Slideshow Intervals".

Step 3:Select the interval time you need.
Step 1: Open the "My Cozyla APP" and click the "triangle" to switch the device you want to set, and click "Settings".

Step 2: After selecting "Frame", select "Show description" to turn it on or off.

Step 1: Open the "My Cozyla APP" and click the "triangle" to switch the device you want to set, and click "Invite".

Step 2: Click "Enter the emails you want to invite here" to jump to the invitation interface.

Step 3:Enter the email address of the invited user and click "Submit" to complete the invitation.

Step 1: Open the "My Cozyla APP" and click the "triangle" to switch the device you want to set, and click "Settings".

Step 2: After selecting "Frame", select "Background effect".

Step 3: Select the background effect you need and click "Submit".

This is IOT token lost due to some network issue. It can be solved by three ways:
1. Swipe down in app device list page to refresh, if not work , action 2
2. Sign out and sign in again, if not work, action 3
3. Delete cozyla app and install it again. ( You will not loss any photos by delete and reinstatll the My Cozyla app)
What are the requirements to pair with the device?
The phone with the My Cozyla app needs to turn on Bluetooth.
Which format does the device support for photos?
We support most of Android & iOS image and video formats: JPEG(.jpg, .jpeg), BMP, PNG, HEIC, MP4 H.264
How to clear my data from the device or perform a factory reset?
1. Swipe down from the top of the device screen -> Choose "Settings" -> "About Device" -> "" at the top right-> "Reset the device"
2. Remove the device from your My Cozyla app ("Device List"->Select the device -> " "Device Settings " on the top right -> "Remove Device" at the bottom)
Can I restore the uploaded contents and device settings after I reset the device?
Once the device is reset, it means all the data related to the device will be reset, including device settings, Google Photos, and Instagram accounts, all uploaded photos and videos will be deleted. But the photos on your Google Photos and Instagram will not be impacted.
What is the Gift mode setup?
The gift mode setup feature allows you to customize the start-up screen with a message and preload photos onto the device before you give it to the recipient. The recipient can simply power on the device and enjoy it.
How could I setup the gift for my parents
Before sending it as a gift, you can set up the device including a startup screen, customized message, preload photos and channels, Accounts of Google Photos, Amazon Alexa, and Instagram, and Preset WLAN of the recipient.

What should I do if I receive it as a Gift?
If the device is already set up as a gift, you can just power on the device without any setup.
You can also config the device settings and WLAN with the My Cozyla application with the following steps:
1. Download My Cozyla App & register a Cozyla account
2. Send to the people who set up the device
3. Sender needs to add your account from "My Cozyla" -> HOME -> Settings -> INVITE
Then you will be able to see and manage the device from your cozyla account.
Can I leave a message or customize the device for the parents?
Yes. During the gift mode setup process, you can type the message which will be shown when the recipient power on the device. And a customized image can also be shown with the message.
Sub-accounts can send invitation information to family members/friends by entering their email addresses. After the other party confirms joining in their mailbox, they can download the "My Cozyla App" to view the photos, likes, and comments uploaded by other accounts. They can also add memo reminders as needed.
The inviter needs to add your account from "My Cozyla" -> Select Device -> "Invite" -> "Enter the emails you want to invite here" -> "Enter the emails to add" -> "Submit".
You can open the mailbox -> click "Click here" in the email -> receive "your account and password and the QR code to download the app" -> save the QR code to the photo album -> scan the QR code to download the app -> Enter your email account and password to log in.
1. After inviting users to send photos by email, the invited users need to accept the invitation before the photos can be displayed in the shared album.
2. Invite others to become sub-accounts; the invited users must accept the invitation before connecting to the device.
