CalendarOS 1.2 brings a redesigned voice assistant, Cozyla AI, and a system-level Parental Lock to help you manage your family's shared devices. This update also introduces powerful batch editing tools for your Meal Plans and Grocery Lists, a redesigned architecture for Tasks, and extensive customization options for your Dashboard. In addition, this release includes meaningful enhancements to the Cozyla Calendar app, Strong Notifications, and the device setup experience.

Cozyla AI (Early Access)

• Unified entry point seamlessly integrates the AI voice assistant across all Cozyla apps and the Dashboard.
• Intelligent batch actions allow you to instantly manage Chores, Routines, Calendar events (excluding third-party calendars), and Meal Plans, all within a single conversation.
• Intelligent recommendations can now generate customized suggestions for your weekend schedules, household chores, and dietary-specific meals based on your prompts.
• Casual conversation support with short-term context and reasoning, while safely handling sensitive queries.
• Quick voice responses with reduced latency, in addition to improved voice recognition for complex English pronunciations.

Parental Lock

• System-level application management gives you the ability to secure both Cozyla and third-party apps using a custom PIN, protects the device against unsupervised usage, preventing children from using restricted apps or accessing sensitive system settings when parents are absent.
• Automatically enables the Parental Lock after detecting user inactivity, with customizable timeout settings ranging from 1 to 10 minutes (defaults to 1 minute).
• The PIN recovery feature lets you reset a forgotten PIN via your registration email or through customer support.

Meals

• The Day View now supports meal management by specific categories: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Snack.
• Direct entries of items that don't exist in Recipe are automatically saved to the "My meals" section.
• Meal item suggestions will now appear below the input field while adding items to your Meal Plan. It recommends meal items based on your most recently added item.
• Multi-selection in the daily view allows you to copy meals to any number of days, move meals, add items to a Grocery List, or delete items in batches.
• Meal items can be copied or moved seamlessly while retaining their original category.
• Grocery Lists now support custom categories via the Add List function.
• Grocery Lists display both custom items and items pulled directly from Recipes, with options to group the items by aisle, recipe, or none.

Tasks

• Redesigned interface design introduces four dedicated tabs: Profile, To-do, Routine·Chore, and Reward.
• The new To-do feature is designed for temporary, one-off tasks with support for titles, descriptions, due dates, reminders, and assigning members.
• The To-do interface can be toggled between List and Profile View, with sorting options for manual, due date, and title.
• The To-do widget allows you to create items and switch assignees directly from the Dashboard.
• Expanded limits allow up to 20 To-do lists per account, with 500 items per list.
• Reward management makes it easy to track family rewards categorized by "Available", "Pending Approval", and "Redeemed" statuses.

Calendar

• Adaptive time formatting automatically switches between 12-hour and 24-hour modes based on your system settings.
• Enhanced Month View widget optimized resizing for smoother navigation.
• My Schedule Widget now natively displays up to 15 days of upcoming events.
• Optimized calendar syncing improves the setup process for third-party calendars, and the menu now displays the number of synced calendars.
• Reassigning synced third-party calendars now uses avatars for better visual clarity.
• You can now tap directly on widgets across all views to instantly view event details.
• Event details accessed via widgets support deleting events or viewing third-party calendar information, while editing or copying actions will seamlessly open inside the Calendar app.
• Settings now include a transparency toggle for past events and a default reminder toggle for newly created events.
• My Schedule widget has officially replaced the archaic single-person Daily View widget.

Dashboard & OS

• Dashboard editing is enhanced with batch app additions to folders, rearrangeable pages, and layout templates you can save.
• Independent Wallpaper support lets you apply custom or uploaded wallpapers to specific pages, supporting smooth swipe transitions in both portrait and landscape mode.
• Strong Notifications ensure you never miss Calendar or Tasks events, displaying persistent banners on the Dashboard and interactive cards on the Screensaver with options to snooze or dismiss.
• The Clock & Weather dashboard widget now combines the Clock and current weather into a single view, tracking location via network IP or manual search, with a temperature unit switch (Celcius/Fahrenheit).
• The Edit Home Screen page features an updated UI.
• Different ringtone options and custom ringtone uploads can now be set for individual users.
• Each profile can independently configure notification preferences and set specific reminder ringtones within their settings.
• Redesigned device setup experience migrates Cozyla ID registration to the mobile app; simply scan the QR code on your CalendarOS device to activate it while system updates process seamlessly in the background.
• The Cozyla+ companion app now features detailed onboarding guides for registration and how-to guides for core features.

Dashboard (Cozyla UI)

Tasks

The Chores app has been renamed to Tasks, now bringing together three key features: Routine, Chore, and Reward. This change better reflects the full range of everyday activities and makes it easier for families to organize, track, and stay motivated.

• New Routine feature for creating and tracking daily habits, with both a recommended routine list and a personal library to save your own routines.

Meals

• Recipe is now integrated with related YouTube tutorials.
• Added a Grocery List widget.
• Search for recipes based on items in your pantry.

Notes

The Cozyla Notes is now available on Calendar devices, allowing you to easily jot down ideas, draw, and to-dos to simplify family management.
